Building Bridges Between Africa and the World

The Global Ambassadors for Trade, Education & Development (GATED) is an international programme of CDT Group Germany–Italy–Zambia dedicated to promoting education, research, entrepreneurship, international trade, investment, community development, and strategic global partnerships.

GATED brings together visionary leaders, educators, students, researchers, traditional leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, development practitioners, and professionals who share a common commitment to transforming communities through international cooperation and sustainable development.

As a bridge between Africa and the global community, GATED connects local aspirations with international knowledge, opportunities, partnerships, and investment for the advancement of people and communities.

To identify, empower, and mobilize influential individuals and institutions to serve as strategic bridges between Africa and the international community, creating meaningful partnerships that improve lives, strengthen communities, and advance sustainable development.

Ambassadorial Categories Under GATED

1. International Education Goodwill Ambassadors (IEGA)

IEGAs promote educational advancement, academic partnerships, skills development, student mobility, and lifelong learning opportunities across Africa and internationally.

2. International Student Ambassadors (ISA)

ISAs are current or former CDT Group students, or independently selected student leaders from various countries, who represent the interests of students and CDT Group at national and international levels through youth exchanges, educational partnerships, leadership initiatives, and cultural cooperation.

3. International Chiefdoms Goodwill Ambassadors (ICGA)

ICGAs are respected African Chiefs and traditional leaders who represent the interests of their chiefdoms and rural communities. They work with Germany, Italy, Zambia, and other international partners to advance community development through CDT Group's three pillars:

4. International Research Goodwill Ambassadors (IRGA)

IRGAs promote research excellence, innovation, scientific collaboration, knowledge exchange, and evidence-based solutions that contribute to sustainable development and global progress.

5. International Business & Development Goodwill Ambassadors (IBDGA)
IBDGAs are distinguished business and development representatives who facilitate trade, investment, entrepreneurship, economic growth, strategic partnerships, and community development opportunities across borders.
